Canada vs USA: We are still preferable choice for real estate investors
Countries around the world have adapted the boom period prices and now
are giving real estate properties with interesting discounts. Investors
in real estate look ahead to these days. To pick up the geese that will
lay the golden eggs. So what’s the status for established North
American adversaries, Canada and the USA?
Real estate prices in
the USA declined much more than in Canada (where the prices have
actually already bounced back) and their MLS are jam-packed with stock.
This may sound like the better place to invest. Canada is still seen as
the better real estate investment preference by those whose job it is
to oversee it.
Authorities in the property market round the
world suggest Canada and warn of investing in the USA at this point.
Even though prices seem to be evening out off in the USA, experts
expect that there may be more busts ahead. Profits are moderate to
poor, the tax system is complicated and the rental market fiercely pro
tenant. Two out of five is the star assessment of the USA property
market according to the long term investment assessment chart.
Although
Canada is not the top market in the world (top rated is Uruguay,
followed by other South American markets), we have been given 3 stars,
particularly for good yields, secure economy, a better tax system and a
strong rental market for immigrants (Canada is represented by Toronto
and the USA is represented by New York).
Transactions costs are
cheaper making Canada an even more agreeable investment opportunity.
Transaction costs amount to 6.96% of sale price in Canada compared to
9.07% in the USA. Transaction costs are inclusive of registration, real estate agent, legal charges and sales, transfer taxes. Real estate investors will be thankful the 2% lower fees

Agreed with what you have said. In my opinion, there are three places which have much more potential for real estate investors like USA (Las Vegas), Canada and Dubai.
